MIThe dirty looks I’m giving your therapist if they say any of these things to you about your intrusive thoughts or OCD.
INSTEAD:
1. Notice the thoughts and remind yourself they are thoughts that don’t mean anything about you
2. Allow them to be there, don’t engage, don’t question why, let them be what they are and keep doing what you were doing
3. You can say “I’m having the thought (insert intrusive thought” to remind yourself it’s a thought
4. Be patient with yourself this isn’t easy ❤️
