I’ve been there. I spent years thinking that I needed to be smaller and when I was “smaller,” I was actually the unhappiest and the least confident in myself. I never felt like I was enough and I spent so much time over analyzing my body. The confidence and happiness I wanted from the beginning came when I finally let go of the desire to be smaller and embrace the idea of being strong and truly healthy from the inside out. I wanted to look good but more than anything, I wanted to FEEL good. I wanted to feel like a healthy, strong, fit person. There’s SO much more to life than spending all of your time consumed by the thoughts of how your body looks and feeling like you need to look a certain way in order to be worthy of happiness or the life you want. Focus on doing things that align with how you want to feel and support you in becoming the healthiest, strongest version of you. Work on your mindset, challenge your thoughts and beliefs, surround yourself with people who love you for who YOU are and support you. With a 10 month old busy baby, I am always lo — EASY HIGH PROTEIN, NO PREP WEEKNIGHT MEAL! This meal has been on repeat every 1-2 weeks in our house! With a 10 month old busy baby, I am always looking for easy recipes that require little to no prep! This chicken bruschetta is packed with protein, takes no prep time, cooks in 30 minutes, and will be a fan favorite in your house! 😋 What youll need: 1-1.5 lbs of chicken tenderloins/breast I can (14.5oz) of diced tomatoes, undrained 1 pkg of Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken ½ cup water 2 cloves garlic, minced (or chopped) 1 tsp dried basil leaves 1 cup Kraft Shredded Mozzerella cheese (I prefer low fat!) Directions: 1. Heat oven to 400 2. Mix tomatoes, stuffing mix, water and garlic just until stuffing is moistened 3. Place chicken in casserole sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with basil and cheese 4. Top with stuffing mixture 5. I've — I always knew I wanted to be in a career where I was able to help people Throughout college, my focus was to work with non-profit organizations. I’ve always been involved with philanthropy & supporting causes I’d like to make a difference in My senior year of college, I got internship working for a small non-profit who supported the youth community through music! I love music and was excited to be apart of an organization that combined education, music and community! Oh boy it was not what I was expecting AT ALL. It was a brutal reality that left me terrified of the career field I had been so excited to be a part of and grow through 😅 Post graduation, I accepted a position out of that field and was mainly doing administrative work. My first ~big girl~ job! I had my own office, a salary, a 10 minute commute, and was in the 9-5 work force. I was grateful to have gotten a job and it did come with a lot of perks, but I just felt incredibly uninspired and very lost It was very much a WTF am I doing with my life moment 🙃 I’ve always been one to care about doing what makes me happy. As long as I am healthy and supported, it’s never been about making the most money to me I started working out to fill my day with something other than working and sleeping. I started to feel empowered and that I could take charge of my life I made the decision to study for my NASM certification because I wanted to learn more about how to care for myself, and see if there was a way I could turn my passion into my career I started working behind the desk at a gym, to becoming a trainer, to starting my own business as an online coach, to joining the DGF team and being able to solely focus on my clients! It was a rollercoaster getting here but I’m so grateful for every part of it Now, I’ve been in the fitness space for over 4 years and an online coach for a little over 3 years! My passion met a career I LOVE and I wouldn’t change a bit of it Little me is so proud - despite the resistance I faced (including my own doubts), I never gave up. And here I am today Being a bad ass human & coach, supporting my bad ass clients and watching them thrive in their own lives too🫶
