TAMiter Saw Safety Tips & Smart Hacks
This is part of my ongoing video series on machine safety!
A miter saw is a very useful tool, but you need to be especially careful when cutting short or thin pieces.
The simple jig I always use is just a piece of 9mm MDF with a wood strip attached using double-sided tape.
Even this simple setup provides much better stability. It also makes it easy to cut materials to consistent lengths.
As a bonus tip, by driving just one nail into the wood strip, you can use it as a reference point to cut alternating grooves. This allows you to bend the wood in a smooth, flexible way! 👍
