The OSI reference model, created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is a conceptual framework that describes how data travels across a network. It's a universal language that allows different devices and software to communicate with each other. Think of the OSI model as a seven-layer cake, with each layer representing a specific networking function. Data travels down from the top layer (application) to the bottom layer (physical), gets encapsulated with additional information at each layer, then travels back up on the receiving side. Here's a breakdown of the seven layers: Application Layer: This is where you interact with network services like web browsing, email, or file transfer. Presentation Layer: Handles data formatting, encryption, and compression. Session Layer: Establishes, manages, and terminates communication sessions between devices. Transport Layer: Ensures reliable data delivery by breaking data into packets and acknowledging receipt. Network Layer: Routes data packets across the network to the destination device. Data Link Layer: Handles error detection and correction for physical transmission of data frames. Physical Layer: Deals with the physical transmission of raw data bits over the network cable or medium. The OSI model is a foundational concept in networking. It helps with: Understanding network communication: By visualizing the layered approach, you can grasp how data travels and troubleshoot issues more efficiently. Interoperability: Different devices and software can interoperate as long as they adhere to the same functionalities at each layer. * **Network device development:** Network devices like routers and switches are designed to operate at specific OSI layers. 📆 Enroll Today and Secure Your Networking Future! 📞+91 8800011138 Email us: info@ns3edu.com #vlan #trunking #vlantrunking #ccna #ccnp #switch #networkengineer #networking #networkadministration #jobopportunity #jobplacement #placements #collegeplacement #NS3Edu #LearningJourney #ZeroToHero #CloudComputing

Osmedeus | A Modern Orchestration Engine for Red Team Operations Osmedeus by J3ssie, isn’t about spraying automated attacks or running noisy scans and hoping for findings. It’s an orchestration engine that lets Red Teamers structure Reconnaissance the same way we structure operations: controlled, repeatable, and observable. We’ve used Osmedeus during Red Team operations and Bug Bounty Hunting but also scoped offensive assessments to build clean Recon pipelines that don’t rely on brittle scripts or one-off commands. Everything is defined in declarative YAML, making workflows easy to review, adjust, and re-run when scope or assumptions change. (YAML like Metasploit’s Config 🎩 ) What makes it useful in real Red Team work: • Controlled chaining of Recon stages without blind automation • Clean separation between passive, active, and enrichment phases • Ability to execute locally, in containers, or remotely without changing logic • Distributed execution when scope requires scale without noise • Artifact and output handling that supports reporting and retesting Osmedeus doesn’t “find bugs for you”. It removes the operational friction that usually gets in the way of good Reconnaissance. Takeaway: Recon is where red team operations are either won or wasted. It is the most important phase of Hacking and 90% if not more of the whole process. Tools like Osmedeus don’t replace judgment, they make sure that what you intended to do is what actually ran, and that it can be reviewed, reproduced, and defended when findings are questioned. As always, Offense is the best Defense. You can find the Github Repo here: lnkd.in/dtHA2TDG #offensivesecurity #redteam #hacking #bugbounty #pentesting osmedeus cybersecurity blackhatethicalhacking

It looks like you meant ISO and OSI model—these are closely related in computer networking. Let’s explain them clearly 👇 🔹 What is ISO? ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an organization that develops international standards. Full form: International Organization for Standardization Founded: 1947 Purpose: To create standards for technology, communication, quality, etc. 👉 In networking, ISO created the OSI Model to standardize communication between different systems. 🔹 What is OSI Model? OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Model is a conceptual framework used to understand how data travels over a network. Developed by ISO Divides communication into 7 layers Helps in: Network design Troubleshooting Understanding data flow 🔹 7 Layers of OSI Model 1. Physical Layer Deals with hardware and transmission Examples: cables, switches, signals Function: Sends raw bits (0s and 1s) 2. Data Link Layer Responsible for error detection and correction Works with MAC addresses Devices: Switches 3. Network Layer Handles routing and addressing Uses IP addresses Device: Router 4. Transport Layer Ensures reliable data delivery Protocols: TCP, UDP Functions: Error checking Flow control 5. Session Layer Manages sessions/connection Opens, maintains, and closes communication 6. Presentation Layer Deals with data format and encryption Converts data into readable format Example: Encryption/Decryption 7. Application Layer Closest to user Provides services like: Email Web browsing Protocols: HTTP, FTP, SMTP 🔹 Easy Trick to Remember Layers 👉 Top to Bottom: A P S T N D P (Application → Physical) 👉 Bottom to Top: Please Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza 🍕 🔹 Summary ISO → Organization that creates standards OSI Model → 7-layer framework for network communication Used to understand how data moves from sender to receiver #trending #networking #technology #topology orking #osi

The OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model has 7 layers, each defining a specific function in network communication. These layers help standardize communication between devices and networks. 7 Layers of the OSI Model (From Top to Bottom): ✅Application Layer: Provides services for end users and applications. ✅Presentation Layer: Translates, encrypts, and compresses data for the application layer. ✅Session Layer: Manages sessions (connections) between applications. ✅Transport Layer: Ensures reliable data transfer between devices (segmentation, flow control, error handling). ✅Network Layer: Handles logical addressing (IP addresses) and routing. ✅Data Link Layer: Manages MAC addresses, error detection, and frame transmission. ✅Physical Layer: Deals with the physical connection (cables, signals, voltages, and transmission media). From Physical to Application, each layer plays a crucial role in network communication.
