They’re usually the missing puzzle pieces. We can (& should) talk about: • Hemorrhoids
• An@l fissures
• What your poop looks like • What your farts & burps are like • How long you sit on the toilet
• Not being able to hold back gas
• Not being able to org@sm • Pushing through painful s3x for your partner’s benefit • Having a hypersensitive cl!toris
• Org@sms that feel different than they used to
• Any type of pain with s3x
• The positions that flare your pain
• If you avoid s3x completely
• If you hover over public toilets • Never ending wiping after you poop • How many pads your bladder leakage makes you go through a day
• Doing toilet gymnastics to get all your pee or poop out
• If you feel like something’s falling out of you • & way more None of that is TMI.
It’s great information. Your pelvic floor doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s connected to your nervous system, your bladder & bowels, your hips, your breath, your stress, your history. So if you’ve ever held something back in an appointment because it felt like “too much”, “too weird”, or “too embarrassing”, Just know that we think ANY thing related to your health is normal information to discuss.
