NOI have a habit of saving all my tp tubes, dryer lint, and packaging or tissue paper for this 🙈 But it makes it zero waste, which is obviously a great thing… I mean, right? 😅
Here’s how you make this paper:
Soak paper scraps in a big bowl of water for a full 24 hours. Then outer in small batches, adding extra water as needed.
Pour into a large basin and add more water. You want plenty of water for the pulp to float around and create thinner sheets of paper. I don’t have exact measurements, simply play around with it a bit until you’re happy with the consistency.
Add your dried flowers and leaves to the mix and swirl around. Then dip your screens (either a mould and deckle (I got mine off of Amazon) or a splatter screen (thanks for this tip @sibster,) allowing water to drip off for a bit. Remove top piece of the frame and flip onto a towel. Using a sponge or rag, absorb as much water as you can from the other side of the screen (as shown.)
Allow to dry fully before admiring your beautiful work!

Day 5 is all about Paper Towel Texture. The quilted patterns in ordinary paper towels create the most incredible “ghost prints” and textures when pressed into wet paint. It’s tactile, it’s easy, and it’s so satisfying.
