RE🔘Oscillator circuit
A relaxation oscillator is one that satisfies all of the following conditions:
It must provide a non-sinusoidal waveform (either the voltage or current parameter) at the output. It must provide a periodic or repetitive signal such as a triangular, square, or rectangular wave at the output.
The circuit of a relaxation oscillator must be nonlinear. This means that its design must include semiconductor devices such as transistors, MOSFETs, or operational amplifiers.
The circuit design must also include an energy storage device, such as a capacitor or inductor, which continuously charges and discharges to produce a cycle. The oscillation frequency or period of such an oscillator depends on the time constant of its respective capacitive or inductive circuit.
