MASo we post quite a lot of Isabelle running, but being good at it is only half the battle. For is this started a long time ago.
Isabelle like any young runner has to want to run. How do you make something which can be difficult... important to a young person.
As parents a lot of what we do, who we are influences directly onto our children.
We knew early on if we wanted to raise active and capable children we would need to lead strongly from the front. Make it a none negotiable
From Isabelle and Charlies first memories they will remember their Daddy going out into world and by simply putting one foot in front of another have amazing adventures, tackling obstacles, distance, conditions year in year out. Parkrun by extension is more of this mentality and demonstrating consistency over time is the path to improvement, teaching the basics of running, pacing, conditioning both mind and body.
This is just one of my many adventures Man Vs Lakes a 32mile extraordinary adventure starting with a brutal crossing of Morcombe Bay. Holly and Isabelle intercepted me at various points to support me. One of my favorite things is to do is have Isabelle put my medal around my neck.

RUAfter YEARS of saying I’d eventually do one…I did it! Here was my experience doing my first @parkrunuk as a slower runner. As someone who didn’t grow up sporty (I actually tried to avoid anything of the sort xx), I am still intimidated by running with other people and so I honestly didn’t really know what to expect going into my first parkrun. I asked you guys what you thought of it and OMG I don’t think I’ve ever had such a positive response about anything before 😂 Now I’ve done it, I kinda get the hype (although I would love it to be at 10am 😴). Everyone is truly there just to do their own thing, and I didn’t feel any judgement from anyone on my slower pace. There was no pressure to run the whole thing, or run at all with the last person finishing in over an hour. Little tip if you are a @runna user - you can store your parkrun barcode in the app and it’s super easy to set up! I’m wearing full @brooksrunninguk and am currently loving their Ghost Trail Trainers which were PERFECT for this course! #ad #parkrun #running #slowrunner

EMMY FIRST @parkrunuk !!! 5K PB 🏆
I started running a couple of months back to try and improve my CV fitness / help my heart 🫀 last night I sat and thought about doing the park run in Keswick, I was actually so nervous 🙃 buttttt I had the best time, and even came away with a PB. I LOVED the vibe, everyone was so supportive, it really doesn’t matter what level of runner (or walker) you are, everyone’s welcome 🥰 38 mins was my original PB, I’m a very new runner & it might seem slow to you but that’s where I’m at!! Chipping away every week ⛏️ remember it’s you vs you, I’d deffo recommend @parkrunuk 🫶🏼

TOBushy Park is the original and the UKs busiest park run.
I ran it for the first time yesterday with over 1300 others and it was a great experience.
Finally finding some speed after @londonmarathon and happy to be back in the sub 19 club. With some consistent training over the coming weeks/months I would love to aim for sub 18

THBig old run for @brightonmarathonweekend 🌿🦢☀️
32k at a comfortable pace from @coopahruncoach and I really enjoyed it, the weather definitely helped. Doing a parkrun sandwich made things easier to chunk up and meant I didn’t get bored. 🤭
Next weeks long run is 26k with 16k of that at goal marathon pace which I’m a bit more nervous about but I’m just gonna take 1 run at a time. 😎
