TH“Perfidia” was composed by Alberto Domínguez in 1939 and became widely known during the Latin and big band era of the early 1940s. Early milestone recordings include Xavier Cugat’s orchestra and Glenn Miller’s 1941 version, which helped bring the song into the American popular repertoire, followed by later interpretations by artists such as Nat King Cole, Linda Ronstadt, and other performers across Latin, jazz, and popular music settings.
