APSAVE this activity to help your kiddo with their phonics practice! I used this as a warm-up during reading groups in kindergarten & first grade!
This is a notebook from @dollartree that I cut into 3 equal sections. If you have a notecard book, they work great because the pages are thicker!
In the middle spots, write the vowels. In the first & third spots, right a variety of consonants. Flip & Read!
Some of the words are REAL and some are NON-SENSE words. This is SO helpful for early readers because it’s forces them to use letter-sound knowledge to accurately sound out & blend the word together to read. They can’t guess or try to memorize the pattern.
