‼️ HOTish TAKE 🚨 ❌ I am far from saying that you’re a failure if any of this relates to you, BUT… If your prescribed exercises are not having a beneficial effect after a while (which is normal and common), maybe what your body needs is a good nights sleep, some nutritious foods and a big glass of water. ✅ Rehab is a holistic approach that should encompass lifestyle factors as well as targeted exercise and activity modification. 10 things I teach my patients as a physio with 9 years’ experience: 1️⃣ Pain doesn’t equal damage Pain is influenced by load, sensitivity, and context, not just tissue injury 2️⃣ Movement is rarely the problem Most issues come from how much and how often we load, not the movement itself. 3️⃣ Rest isn’t rehab Rest can settle symptoms, but tissues adapt through progressive loading 4️⃣ Strength alone isn’t enough Capacity, control, and endurance matter just as much as max strength 5️⃣ Perfect form is a myth There’s no single “correct” way to move, variability is normal and healthy 6️⃣ Flare ups are part of progress They don’t mean failure; they’re feedback that load needs adjusting and it’s how we can progress 7️⃣ Consistency beats intensity Small, repeatable efforts outperform short bursts of motivation 8️⃣ Your body is adaptable Given time and the right stimulus, tissues get stronger, even after injury or surgery 9️⃣ Symptoms are not the same as harm Feeling something doesn’t mean you’re causing damage 🔟 Education is treatment Understanding what’s happening reduces fear and improves outcomes #physio #physiotherapist #runningphysio

Neuro-Physio Highlights Oktober 🧠 Übung 1: Rumpftraining Bei Zustand nach Schädelhirntrauma versucht der Patient die Beine wechselnd seitlich abzulegen ohne dabei die Hände zu benutzen! Übung 2: Beinkräftigung Bei Zustand nach Querschnittslähmung versuchen wir die Ansteuerung des schwächeren Beines zu verbessern! Im Schwebesitz muss das gestreckte Bein wechselnd über das Hinderniss gehoben werden! Als Steigerung werden Gewichtsmanchetten am Unterschenkel fixiert 😮‍💨 Übung 3 : Stabilität des Oberkörpers Bei bestehender Friedreich-Ataxie trainieren wir die kontrollierte Stabilität des Oberkörpers. Im Vierfüßler-Stand muss der Patient seinen Oberkörper langsam kontrolliert absenken und aufrichten ⬆️⬇️ Übung 4: Reaktives Stabitraining 🥊 Bei Z.n. Querschnittlähmung muss die Patientin reaktiv die Arm nach vorne bewegen, um sich auf dem Bosu-Ball im Stütz abzufangen. Unterstützt durch ein elastisches Seil am Rücken versucht sich die Patientin wieder aufzurichten. Mit leichter Unterstützung im Sitz folgt eine Box-Kombination! Great strategy for helping to facilitate hip flexion, knee flexion, and ankle dorsiflexion in a weakened leg. I use this method with my patients who are recovering from a stroke or other neurological injury that impacts their ability to lift or swing their leg while walking. So grateful to have learned this technique on a clinical rotation back in 2019, and I continue to use it frequently to this day! #physicaltherapy #dpt #neuropt #strokerehab #rehabilitation
