ASFor the past week or two I've been trying to use streaming services a lot less. I bought a LG V30 off of eBay for $30, ripped my CD collection, and loaded all those songs onto @roonlabs and @plex.tv Now I can stream those songs from anywhere using the roon arc and Plexamp apps. I still miss the discovery features of Spotify but listening to full albums has been really great for finding deep cuts and songs I haven't heard in a long time. I might make a dedicated video about this stuff if y'all are interested!

AIThough full setup before I share them to friends is not done, finally had my Jellyfin server setup functional. I'm trying to move away from Plex as the media server and have been working on trying to make the Jellyfin server work outside of my local network.
As I never did try to use PlexAmp, the Plex derivative for music streaming, I tried it on my Jellyfin server. Used the FinTunes client on my phone.
Of course, the only songs there in my music library for now, is one of the famous Japanese artists I know that kinda got all her works erased on legal streaming platforms when she retired - Namie Amuro.
