SEThese gods all predate the Olympians by many thousands of years. And yet for most, their names haven’t changed. I think this says a lot about their foundational nature — unlike other gods like Zeus or Aphrodite, they haven’t evolved beyond their original roles and I truly believe that while every god meets us in our time, the ancients likely felt the exact same presence of Gaia or Ouranos just as we can today in Greece.
Find the other early deities in part 6, and the Olympians and cthonic deities like Hekate are parts 1-3 on our pages.
All art is by @saniodigitalart and prints are available! Such a talented artist, you’ll see his art featured on my page a lot as I feel he really captures the gods so perfectly!
I’m Elyse, @seekingnumina and my work is seeking ‘numina’, or sacred places, reviving the lost earth priestess arts and teaching these practices in Greece and online. Comment “Delphi” to join me on a Greek pilgrimage!
Which is your favorite early gods first?
