Plot twist what’s weird is that this is considered dieting and not just practicing good habits 🤭👀
In today’s day and age it’s so easy to over eat! With foods getting more and more calorie dense with more and more ingredients that are designed to make you want MORE.. so here’s how I combat that specifically in a diet phase👏🏼
💛 1 | I wait to eat until I’m actually hungry:
Not doing some dramatic fast, I just don’t eat the second I wake up. I wake up at 5/6am so if I ate straight away I’d be hungry for lunch around 10am so instead I wake up make sure im super hydrated with plenty of water / electrolytes and then have some caffeine and wait until I feel proper hunger instead of eating out of boredom or habit.
💛 2 | I include my cravings:
I don’t eat random stuff throughout the day. I plan ahead and plan into my fitness pal for the day, If I know I’ve got something like ice cream or chocolate later, it stops from choosing it just out of boredom and I can actually enjoy it 🤝🏼
💛 3 | Check in with yourself:
Anytime I feel like Im hungry for a snack or something off plan I ask myself ok have some fruit instead and if I don’t want fruit.. I’m not that hungry 🤭 I’m probably just looking for a dopamine hit or distraction. So a lil check in a question of your actions makes me pause before reaching for snacks. 👏🏼
💛 4 | I go for a lil walk after eating.
Even a 10 mins stroll around the block! It helps with digestion, keeps my steps up, and takes me out the kitchen in reach for more I probably don’t need. It also helps with blood sugar📉
💛 5 | I zoom out and remember my goal
“My goal is bigger than my want” If I’m tempted to go back for more, I remind myself, I’m not trying to feel stuffed, I’m trying to feel good. Feeling like you can’t take another bite isn’t the goal during a fat loss phase or when you’re trying to overcome overeating, it’s a feeling you crave the more you do it so so ask yourself what do you want more? The snack that will take you over cals/off plan or closer to your goals?
