This is actually how you feel and then you record it and realise the way it felt is never coming back again. As a girl, I was made to believe pull-ups are really tough. Maybe it started with hearing that only 2–3% of women in the world can do one. Or all those podcast clips where men get asked how many pull-ups the average woman can do and they say “zero.” Now that I’ve actually started pulling my own bodyweight up, I realise it wasn’t impossible. It was hard but not in the way I was told it would be. Maybe it’s because I decided to try. Maybe only women who’ve fought for their first pull up will get it. Or maybe it’s just me feeling way too much about this. #pullups #calisthenicsgirls #pullupprogression #gymmotivation
