Build explosive pull strength. 2️⃣ Train explosive high pulls 🚀 Think “pull to your waist,” not your chin. This is what gets you over the bar. 3️⃣ Practice straight bar dips 🔁 Once you’re on top, you need the strength to press out. No dip = no rep. 4️⃣ Use band-assisted pull overs 🟢 Bands help you feel the movement and build confidence without skipping the process. 5️⃣ Drill the transition 🔄 This is where most people fail. Lean forward, bring your hips to the bar, and commit. Consistency + smart progressions = results 📈 No shortcuts. Just skill building. I also through in a great banded exercise for Tennis Elbow with a light resistance band at the end! Solid hard to reach extensor work! #fitness #exercise #calisthenics #pullups

The biggest mistakes I see: • Not fully locking out arms at the bottom • Not getting the chin above the bar • Using momentum / swinging A proper pull-up should be full range of motion and controlled on every rep. Bottom: arms fully locked. Top: chin clearly above the bar. If you can’t maintain this standard, you need to scale back and use the assisted pull up machine until you build up more strength.
