HOThe T is not optional. Trans people—especially Black and Brown trans folks—are the very foundation of the queer movement. So when I hear folks in the LGB space acting like they’d be better off without us, I have to ask: better off for who?
We’re the weirdos, the boundary-pushers, the ones who’ve always done too much—and that’s exactly why we’re necessary. If you think the community can grow by cutting off its roots, don’t be shocked when the whole thing withers.
Either respect the folks who built this or admit you’re just here for the aesthetics. I’ll wait.

LUNot an archive post! I have some thoughts about #detransawarenessday and why I feel like it does not actually serve the needs of detrans people. It is a political tool which alienates detrans people- like myself - due to the transphobic nature of the organisation itself. I would love for there to be information and legal help available without it being an agreement to the barring of my loved ones from care they rightfullly deserve.
