I took my gains to the next level when I realized recovery was just as important as hard training. There are ZERO hacks to speeding up recovery as much as people want you to believe.
HOWEVER, any methods you can use to decompress, lower stress, and get into a restful state (with adequate food), will be the best possible route to preparing for your next session and maximizing gains.
Sports massage, sauna, stretching, are all ways that may allow you to get into that restful state, but they certainly aren’t magic. The number one recovery method is… TIME.
The answer is almost never do more, and almost always do less. Find the methods you enjoy, be mindful of training progression, and eat to fuel your training, don’t train to fuel your eating.
