(Esta é a minha interpretação da canção baseada nas referências disponíveis, levando em consideração que as adaptações fonéticas são comuns nas tradições afro-brasileira, para melhor acomodação na pronúncia. A língua iorubá possui riquíssimas nuances e, quando traduzida, pode ter múltiplos significados. Ademais, ao ser incorporada na cultura brasileira, adaptações e novas camadas de interpretação podem surgir. É preciso lembrar que toda tradução carrega limitações e esta é apenas uma das muitas interpretações possíveis.)”
