SNUnlike most other insects that lay their eggs, some fellas such as this giant hissing cockroach actually have live young emerge. Mothers retain the egg sac within their abdomen for incubation and push it out once the babies start to hatch. It can be quite the process to watch as well.
The pale white individuals are in a similar stage to a post-molt where their exoskeleton must harden. Fortunately, the parent will watch over them for a few hours until the hardening is complete. How cool is that!?
