Weight & portability? The Carbon Ultralight wins here—it’s the lightest rollator in the world at just 4.8kg and folds down so small. The Nordic Pioneer is a little heavier at 5.9kg, but still really easy to fold and carry. Seat comfort? The Ultralight comes in three widths—mine’s the regular which is fab for indoors, but a bit of a squeeze to sit on. The Pioneer is much comfier if you’re planning to sit for longer—definitely the one I’d pick for outdoor days. Style? I love how both of these look but the Carbon Ultralight is extra sleek without the visible break cables & comes in so many colour options! The Pioneer’s a bit more limited on colours, but it’s made from eco-friendly materials, which is a big win. Curb test? The Ultralight actually did better than I expected—got up and down with no major drama. But the Pioneer? Glided down like it didn’t even notice the curb. Super smooth. Different terrain? The Ultralight works well on smooth surfaces, but outside you feel and hear ever bump in the road. The Pioneer is an absolute dream. Grass, gravel, even sand—it just handles it all, and it’s so quiet too. Price? Ultralight is £529, the Pioneer is £449—so a little easier on the wallet too. Final verdict? Voordat de 45 ouderen écht van start gaan, krijgen ze nog een warming-up van sportcoach Heleen. “Goed zo, draaien met de schouders.
