MKIn 2012 BBS Motorsport became a subsidiary company of BBS Japan, creating a close technical partnership that has leveraged BBS Japan's expertise in forging, with BBS Motorsport's experience with servicing racing series, engineering and design for spec vehicles.
This partnership has created several wheel models, including the FI-R and FI-R Evo which were both designed by BBS Motorsport division in Germany and manufactured in BBS Japan's forging facility in Japan.
The RT88 symbolises this partnership more than any other wheel, combining the barrels from the BBS LM, a part with a proven track record of high quality, with BBS Motorsport centres that offer big brake clearance, motorsport and the traditional BBS multi spoke heritage.
With a relaunch at Tokyo Auto Salon in 2026, the RT88 is set to be a true joint project between BBS Japan and their subsidiary BBS Motorsport.
