Do you want to get as fit as @kipchogeeliud? 👀 People think that Kenyan runners are born with some sort of advantage, it’s not the case. Great runners like Kipchoge don’t rely on talent but hard work. What’s his secret? He runs crazy volume but 80%+ of his runs are easy! What does this mean? 👀 - Crazy volume but mainly low intensity. He runs 200km a week but at zone 2 (easy pace). - He trains in a groups. He trains with big groups to hold each other accountable on every run - Consistency. He runs the same routes, at the same time, no flashy trends, just grind. - Focuses on recovery. Easy days are actually easy so that hard days are actually hard! Why it works? 🏔️ - Builds massive aerobic capacity - Keeps him injury free - Creates a mental flow from running in groups - Enforced discipline. He doesn’t run too hard too often. A mistake we all make. How you can apply this to your training: ⚡️ 1. Run with others at least once a week. Especially easy runs 2. Make sure you’re doing mainly zone 2 running 3.
