My door lock automation🙌 Actionable notifications are just top tier. I set this up using Home Assistant. You can make it so holding down on a notification brings up buttons and when you click on the button it runs an automation. In this case it locks the door. The lock is the Schlage Encode Plus. It doesn’t work with Home Assistant out of the box but I have some content coming out how I set that up. #smarthome #tech #reels #homeautomation #homeassistant #smartlock #home #frontdoor #ideas

I upgraded to their Encode Plus Smart Wifi Deadbolt and no longer have to dig around for my keys! Now I can lock and unlock my door from anywhere with a tap of a button through the Schlage Home app. (Plus I can even create custom door codes for trusted family & friends to use! It also works with Apple home keys, so I can tap to lock and unlock with my iPhone or Apple Watch.) I love a good DIY project, especially when they’re quick and easy, and only take a few hours to make a huge difference! Don’t make the mistake like I did and forget about the small details that make a huge impact in your daily life!
