TH4 NPTE prep materials I bought (+ 2 free resources). Here’s a price breakdown & how I actually used each of these, in order of what I found most helpful to least helpful:
- I listened to all of Kyle Rice’s NPTE Clinical Files Podcast episodes (some more than once) [free]
- I took both PEAT exams [$99 total]
- I answered the daily question in the PT 365 app everyday and reviewed all right and wrong answers [free]
- I worked my way through about 1/4 of the NPTE Final Frontier Independent Study Bundle (I watched a little over half of the lectures and did not do any of their assignments or practice exams) [$299]
- I took all 3 ScoreBuilders practice exams and referenced this prep book the most [$90 total]
- I took 2 of 3 TherapyEd practice exams and only used the book once or twice [$90 total]
- I never used the flashcards [$45]
.
Remember, there is NO one right way to study for the NPTE. You should do what fits in your budget, your timeline, and the efficient study methods you already have established. Don’t use a resource if it’s not helpful to you just because everyone else is saying they like it, and don’t worry if your journey doesn’t look like mine.
.
Everyone has a slightly (or greatly) different mode and timeline of preparing for the exam. All you can do is give your best, take care of yourself, and give yourself grace because it’s not an easy exam, but you are smart enough, prepared enough, and certainly capable enough to pass it and get on your way as a LICENSED THERAPIST 👊🏽
.
Good luck and happy studying!!
