METractors do not shift gears like regular vehicles. Their gearboxes are built for power, control, and handling heavy loads instead of speed.
Most tractors use several levers to control different gear sets. These include main gears, range selectors, creeper gears, and sometimes a shuttle or high and low selector.
All these options create many gear combinations. This allows tractors to move extremely slowly while still pulling heavy equipment with great force.
Operating a tractor takes real skill. Smooth shifting depends on timing, clutch control, and a deep understanding of how the machine works.
