DRUnderbite treatment? No problem for a specialist orthodontist.
This patient had a severe “underbite” (anterior crossbite: where the upper front teeth bite under the lower front teeth)
Her treatment involved 2 parts:
1. Expander and reverse pull headgear treatment. This expands the narrow upper jaw and the headgear pulls the upper jaw forwards to achieve the nice profile change you see.
2. Braces. Due to severe teeth crowding and misalignment, some teeth needed to be removed so the teeth can be straightened safely and be healthy for the long term.
This results in a broad smile, healthier bite, and profile improvement.
