• Have you checked out our Work Your Basics course yet? You get to choose two tricks you’d like to focus on, and after an intense warm-up, you’ll have the entire class to really train and refine them. Amazing, right? 🤩 One of the most popular (and most trained!) tricks is the shoulder mount. Jumping into a shoulder mount is one thing but doing it properly is a whole different story. So make sure to save your spot this Thursday! 💥 🎶🎶 by Suno AI ———♡ #pdshouldermount #shoulder #strong #bodycontrol #thursdayevening

I’ve seen this static transition floating around a lot on IG, so I had to give it a try! I LOVED it!! If you love it too, save it & share it with your pole friends OR tag your pole spotter that will be in charge of holding your butt while you try it 🤣

Thank you @lunalila & @katelinsell for the inspiration!

P.S. if you love my combos and want an easy place to save them to try later and to ask me for feedback, I encourage you to join my beautiful community of polers on the App, Pole with Steph (links in bio or DM me with questions). #poletransition #staticpole #staticpoletrick #advancedpole #pdtransition @pole_junkie @paradise_chick_ 💕

I was preparing to teach my pole class the other day and really liked this combination so I thought I would post it on here. Normally I keep Instagram pretty Ariel hoop focused but I'm thinking that I like to start adding some extra apparatuses especially ones that aren't that common like chair or moon or hammock or net. If there is something that you would like to get some videos or tutorials for let me know in the comments. I'd be interested to see what you guys are interested in. Here are a few tips for this pole combo: - when you pass the arm between the pole and the body to catch the front leg try to get the pole in the elbow and try to get the hand as far down and around the knee as possible so you can have a nice strong grip - use the glutes to lift up that back leg in the split. It's easy for the back leg to droop down and you need to fight gravity to get it up into a nice horizontal line with the front leg - in any of the elbow hooks in this combination try to keep the elbow straight until it touches the pole, and then bend it to Hook. It's a lot easier that way to get a strong hook and have that pole really in your elbow crease - at the end circle the leg around behind the pole and cross it so that the pole is touching the maximum amount of skin on that leg possible, similar to the technique of a pole climb In this video I'm at the beautiful Eclipse Studio in Chartres If you've read this far, maybe take a minute to check out my YouTube channel (with tutorials for several of these moves) it's called Cara Chapman Aerial Pole and there's a link my bio :) #poledance #pdsplits #poleflow #polecombospin #intermediatepole circuseverydamnday cheststand aerialist aerialistsofig aerialistsofinstagram aeriallyratrick lyralove lyralover aerialhoopcombo aerialhoopartist aerialhoopbeginner aerialhoopcheststand lyraadvanced pleasers heels choreo

Unpopular opinion (but it works): The fastest way to improve on the pole is to step away from it. IMPORTANT; I am not saying you will not/cannot progress if you do not cross-train... I am saying cross-training will PROPEL your progress, all while preventing injuries. Strength. Shoulder stability. Core control. Active flexibility. That’s what gives you floaty inverts and clean lines — not just repeating tricks. Train with intention. Train smart. I mean yes, it would be possible. But it would of taken me much longer to achieve, with much more hard work. This move feels solid & easy because my foundation is solid. When you build strength off the pole: • Your holds last longer • Your transitions feel smoother • Your shapes look cleaner Pole skills aren’t about forcing it. They’re about preparing for it. At BPM we care about your progress. One of the biggest mistakes in fitness, pole included, is jumping straight into the hardest version of everything, without building the foundation first. It feels productive. It feels intense. But it’s often the fastest way to stall, burn out, or get injured. Progress in pole isn’t random. It follows a sequence. Master the basics first - Build a strong foundation, understanding the movement mechanics and build the strength and technique. When you rush into high intensity without preparation, tissues (tendons, ligaments, joints) aren’t ready for the load. Muscles adapt relatively quickly. Connective tissue adapts much slower. That mismatch is where injuries happen. Proper progression builds resilience, Strengthens joints gradually and Reduces inflammation and overuse. Fitness rewards patience. When you layer skills and strength in the right order your technique improves, strength compounds, endurance builds naturally and confidence increases. Rush progress too quickly, you’ll likely plateau and loose momentum. At BPM we will teach you at your own pace, in a way safe for your body and efficient for your progress. Notice how controlled this looks? That’s not from repeating the trick 50 times. It’s from training the exact strength pattern off the pole. I don’t just practice moves. I build the capacity for them. Pole is not easy. It demands a lot. But when you train properly for it... things do start to feeling attainable. Unpopular opinion (but hear me out): Your pole progress isn’t stuck… your strength base might be. If you’re shaking in holds, struggling with control, or feeling “heavy” in transitions — it’s not a talent issue. It’s a foundation issue. Train off the pole. Come back stronger.
