Alta Silvae returns to their roots with “John 11:35”. Structured around experimental ways to create sound and noise, “John 11:35” is an expression of loss and anger, channeling these feelings through sound.
“Opening with a droning, swirling, hunt for hope... or at the very least, a search for some grounding. We never find any proper footing, however. Instead, growling effects, metallic screeches, and tormented cries give way to only further disorientation. The final track ends abruptly, as though we were mid-exorcism, and never fully cleansed of the Darkness. Is “exorcism denial” a thing? Whatever it is, we’re here for it.”
