In an interview with DailyPlanetDC, he talks about how he decided what to mine and what to create from the comics! “A lot of what I use as canon is more classic and well-established, but we also look to writers we really liked. In addition to Jack Kirby’s classic work on the New Gods, we looked at Grant Morrison’s and Alex Ross’s takes on the Justice League”, says Snyder. Snyder continued, “I like to look at these movies like a comic book writer who’s taking a run at a character in a comic book series. A lot of times they’ll do original stuff, come up with a new twist.” “That’s how we approach it a lot of time, too. We have our time with these characters, and someone will come along after us, and they’ll have their time — and it will be different. We're deep into the Monster Association Arc, but the biggest frustration with One-Punch Man Season 3 Episodes 5 and 6 is the stark visual mismatch between the anime and the manga. ​The incredible source material, drawn by the master Yusuke Murata, is renowned for its painstaking detail, masterful panel composition, and artistic complexity. Every page is a stunning work of art, deserving of a poster. ​This video does a painful side-by-side comparison. Where the manga showcases Murata's legendary artistry, the anime (by J.C. Staff) gives us long sequences filled with noticeable still frames and simplified, flat visuals.
