ASThe Big Bang theory was first proposed by Georges Lemaître in 1927, a Belgian priest and physicist.
He called it the "primeval atom" or "cosmic egg" theory.
Later, Edwin Hubble (1929) provided strong evidence by discovering that galaxies are moving away — proving the universe is expanding.
The term “Big Bang” was actually coined by Fred Hoyle (ironically, he didn’t believe in it).
