NPBoldly going where no brow has gone before! 🖖🏼✨ introducing the Spock Brow. My eyebrows love to go to intergalactic levels when botox isn't placed far enough out towards my temples. You can see that my right brow is higher than my left and has a high arch at the end. Some people opt in for this look, but I'm less of Spock fan and more of a Princess Leia or Luke fan. Good news is this is very easily fixed by placing 1 unit above the brow at the area of strongest 💪🏼 pull. #spockbrow #botox #botoxfail #npinjector

SKA spock brow occurs when the center of the forehead muscle is treated and weakened with neuromodulators but the outer sides of the forehead are left under treated. This causes the central brow to drop while the outer brow lifts higher up as not enough toxin was injected to also relax this region. A lot of the time a spock brow occurs because the injector was avoiding “danger areas” that if injected, could cause a brow drop. Luckily, a spock brow can be fixed by using a few units of botox in that under treated region during your follow up appointment!
For this client, I was being very cautious with her treatment as her wedding date was approaching. She came in for a quick follow up and a few units did the trick to fix this movement! I would always rather take a lighter dosing approach and add more later, than add to much and increase the risk of unwanted side effects

NAIsn’t it nice to know your not the only one to cause a spock brow!. After 16 years of aesthetic experience I still have treatment that requires refinement. I think it’s good to share that we are only human & perfect outcomes are not the norm yet it’s what is portrayed on social media. This was beauty’s first time receiving treatment. It was a good experience for both of us as she enters the feild of aesthetics as a provider.

A spock brow occurs when botox isn't placed far enough over or close enough to the outside of the brow....leaving only this area moving
➡️ It's easily fixed with 0.5 - 2 units placed above the high, awkward, or pointed brow🤨
If your forehead lines extend the complete width of your forehead or curve down around your brows, a portion of your forehead muscle likely extends past the temporal fusion line
This means your botox may need to be placed further out
This area is often avoided by injectors for fear of "dropping" the brows, but it can be injected safely in experienced hands✅️

Spock’d Eyebrows will always give way that you have toxin in the center of your forehead…relaxing the frontalis aka center of your forehead…is effective at reducing the horizontal lines we develop as we age.
However, if tox isn’t placed laterally, the other muscles in our face will continue to pull up…causing a Spock’d Eyebrow look that most people don’t want.
I learned this causation in 2019 when I was traveling Europe alone with my four boys…tip…don’t tox your face right before a trip. Make sure to give yourself a week following so you can do any needed touch ups.
I’m four days post placing the 90 units of Innotox. I saved 10 units for any needed touch ups. I can already tell I’ll add a few more units to my brow area to prevent the side eyebrow wrinkle I tend to develop.
Again this video was not an attempt to pick on the President…but as I watched the debate last night I thought it was a perfect example of what I attempted to explain on YouTube yesterday.

I didn't mess up my tox lol. This is the Spock or Drop filter and it shows two of the most dreaded complications with neuromodulators. The Spock brow is pretty hard to achieve imo. We would have to treat the glabella (between the brows) and only the middle portion of frontalis (forehead muscle), leaving the outer frontalis fibers untreated which causes them to overcompensate. This is a super easy fix! So if it ever happens to you, your injector just needs a couple of units on the active part of your forehead.
The Dropped brow is easier to achieve. If we treat within a couple of centimeters from the eyebrows, it doesn't allow any part of the frontalis (forehead) muscle to elevate the brows. This is the only muscle on the upper face that lifts ⬆️ so we have to be cautious here to keep your brows in a normal position. This is not so easy to fix so best to avoid in the first place.
