POSiberian squill is not native to North America. Please remove it by mowing it really short to prevent seed pod production that is spread by ants. You then need to remove the bulb which can be difficult in a large area so try smothering the area with cardboard, and 3 inches of mulch on top. For small infestations you can just dig the bulb out about 6 inches deep. We really need to remove this if we live close to a wild area like a Woodland because we don’t want this plant, escaping and choking out the resources from the native plants that should be living under the trees.
Replace with Spring ephemorals that are native to your area like Virginia bluebells, wild hyacinth, Claytonia, Dutchmans breaches, Trillium, etc.
I can’t always respond to comments so for those of you that are experienced gardeners, please jump in and help as much as you can.
