JASTOP MOTION VS STROBING
The STOP or DIME STOP is the foundation for both stop motion and strobing (used to be called stop trick in film making, before renaming it to stop motion, it goes back all the way to 1896)
BUT the timing is different
Stop Motion - sequence of stops with regular timings 👉🏻 comes from film making technique 🎞️
Strobing - sequence of stops with irregular timings 👉🏻 comes from irregular timing of strobe light 💡
Google definition (for different perspective)
Stop Motion - a cinematographic technique whereby the camera is repeatedly stopped and started, for example to give animated figures the impression of movement
Strobing - irregular movement and loss of continuity sometimes seen in lines and stripes in a television picture
Enjoy and have fun 💫
