HIEveryone has been talking about the new cafe in CWB UURO. Here’s my honest review on it.
🍽️ FOOD QUALITY (6/10)�The bakery items are the main attraction here. The sesame cream cheese bagel has good chew, and the cream cheese’s subtle sweetness pairs well with the caramel notes from maple syrup. But, it needs more firmness as this combination makes the bagel taste undercooked. The garlic bread shares the same soft texture but has a crunchy base which compliments the creamy garlic cream cheese. Additionally, prices are also very affordable.
However, the mains we tried were not as good. Both the carbonara and truffle risotto were underseasoned and tasted nearly identical. The risotto was dominated with cheese, completely overpowering the rice’s firm and al dente texture and losing the All’Onda consistency as each bite was stiff not flowy.
🎧 ENVIRONMENT (7/10)�There is plenty of seating, charging outlets, lighting is inviting, and they also open until midnight. But the music is quite loud even with headphones, especially at 6-9pm. In my opinion, it’s a better hangout place than study cafe.
