In a randomized, controlled trial, cortisol levels were measured via the saliva of participants before and after treatment with either EFT, psychoeducation, or resting. Each group received treatment for 60 minutes and cortisol was measured in their saliva before and after. The EFT Tapping group had a 43% drop in cortisol, while the psychoeducation group only had a 19% drop (and the resting group showed a 2% increase).
