JOThese Carrot Cake Sugar Cones are almost too cute to eat, almost! Perfect for spring parties, taster treats, or just a little whimsical fun, these sweet cones are filled with moist carrot cake and dipped in orange and green chocolate to look just like real carrots.
SAVE for Easter! 🥕
Ingredients:
*Joy Sugar Cones
*Carrot cake mix (store-bought or homemade)
*Orange chocolate melts
*Green chocolate melts
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven according to your carrot cake recipe instructions. Be careful that the oven isn’t too hot for the sugar cones!
2. Prepare carrot cake batter and spoon into a muffin pan, filling each cup about halfway.
3. Gently press a Joy Sugar Cone upside down into each cup, wide side down into the batter. This helps the cake bake into the cone and hold it in place.
4. Bake until the carrot cake is fully cooked—use a toothpick to test for doneness. Let cool completely.
5. Melt green chocolate to make the “carrot tops” using a piping bag or spoon. Melt orange chocolate melts according to package instructions. Dip each cone into the orange chocolate to coat fully.
6. Immediately add green chocolate “carrot tops”.
7. Drizzle extra orange chocolate over the cones for a textured carrot look.
8. Set aside on parchment or wax paper until chocolate firms up.
Pro tip: Wrap them in clear treat bags with green ribbon for a perfect party favor!
