This post captures is a piece of land art created in a deforested area of the Amazon rainforest. The project highlights the extensive deforestation in the region, which is a major environmental concern. The artwork outlines the shape of an enormous snake, created by clearing vegetation in a specific pattern. The Amazon rainforest, the world's largest tropical rainforest, is a vital ecosystem that helps regulate the global climate. Approximately 17-20% of the Amazon has already been destroyed, primarily for cattle ranching. Deforestation is pushing the ecosystem toward a potential "tipping point," where large areas could transform into a savanna, with profound implications for the planet

Experts estimate that nearly 60% of the Amazon Rainforest remains unexplored in detail, despite decades of scientific research and rapid technological advancement. Spanning millions of square kilometers across South America, the Amazon is one of the most complex and biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. Its dense green canopy is so thick that even satellites, drones, and aerial surveys struggle to clearly observe what lies beneath. Vast regions remain inaccessible due to extreme terrain, limited infrastructure, and environmental protection laws. Scientists believe these unexplored areas could contain undiscovered plant species, unknown animal life, ancient human settlements, and ecosystems that may hold clues to climate regulation and Earth’s evolutionary history. The fact that such a large portion of the planet remains mysterious highlights both the limitations of modern technology and the sheer scale of nature. As climate change and deforestation continue to threaten the rainforest, researchers argue that underst

This doesn’t even look real and we still have almost no idea what’s underneath most of it. 🤯 Nearly 60% of the Amazon rainforest is still basically unexplored in any meaningful detail. We’re in 2026, we can livestream from the International Space Station and train AI on the entire internet, but we genuinely cannot see clearly beneath this canopy. That’s wild if you actually sit with it for a second. The Amazon regulates rainfall patterns across entire continents, stores billions of tons of carbon, and contains species that don’t even have names yet because nobody’s found them. It’s one of the last massive ecosystems on the planet that still mostly runs itself without human involvement, which is probably why it still works. The uncomfortable part isn’t what we haven’t discovered yet. It’s that the economic systems we’ve built give people more incentive to burn it down than to leave it standing. That’s not a tree hugger opinion, that’s just math. If destruction is more profitable than preservation, destruction wins every single time regardless of how many awareness campaigns you run. Sustainability only works when it’s baked into the actual infrastructure of how money moves and how trade happens, not when it’s a line item in somebody’s corporate responsibility report that nobody reads. Follow @peacethroughtrade to see how we’re building commerce systems where protecting environments like this actually makes economic sense. #Amazon #nature #viral #reels #explorepage✨

The Amazon is alive. It’s our home. We protect 250 million hectares, nearly a third of the region. But extractive industries threaten over 40 million hectares of our lands. This endangers not only us, but Earth’s future. We’re standing our ground. Stand with us. We are the guardians of the Amazon. Link in Bio 🔗

Why is so much of the Amazon rainforest still unexplored? The Amazon is the largest rainforest on Earth, yet vast areas remain untouched. Its extreme density hides the ground even from satellites, and with almost no roads, many regions are accessible only by river or helicopter. Once inside, the jungle slows every movement. It is also home to uncontacted tribes and protected land. Add venomous wildlife, deadly insects, heat, flooding and the constant risk of getting lost, exploration becomes dangerous and costly. The Amazon is not unexplored because we cannot reach it, but because some places are better left untouched. these are all my other social media accounts: Social Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/truedollah/ Work Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/helodollah/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@Hellodollah Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/hellodollah/ Tiktok: www.tiktok.com/@hellodollah Twitter: https://twitter.com/spacedollah Rednote: Xiaohongshu ID - Spacedollah Thank you for supporting this channel.
