CSSen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), the Banking Committee ranking member, paid tribute to Sen. Mark Warner’s (D-VA) daughter, who died Monday at age 36 after a decades-long battle with juvenile diabetes and other health issues.
“We may disagree on policies, and we may do so vigorously, but when it comes to the safety and security and the health of our families, I know we are as one, and we are praying for them,” she said before delivering her opening statement at a confirmation hearing for Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Warsh.

Days before the second anniversary of the Uvalde mass shooting in Texas in which 19 children and 2 educators were slaughtered by a lone gunman— Donald Trump hosted a campaign rally at the National Riffle Association (NRA) Convention in Dallas, TX.
@stevendialnews posed simple question to Trump— what can be done to reduce and prevent future mass shootings?
Trump’s response, “We need to do more to protect police officers!”
Steven Dial is an elite journalist that covered the Uvalde tragedy directly and it no doubt impacted him deeply. He knew, what every Texan knows, the police failed that day. Dozens of police officers armed to the teeth waited for more than 1 hour and 14 minutes on-site before breaching the classroom to engage the shooter. Instead, police cordoned off the school grounds, resulting in violent conflicts between police and civilians, including parents, who were attempting to enter the school to rescue children. They listened to violent high powered rifle blast explode one after another, each representing an elementary age child being slaughtered and did nothing.
So Dial pushed Trump further for an answer to his question— what is the plan to save civilians?
Trump clearly had never given civilian safety any real consideration, offering only that Tim Scott had a really good plan to deal with that issue. He didn’t have any detail. Tim Scott doesn’t have a plan to address mass shootings.
Trump is dangerous.
I’m not saying Biden is better. I am suggesting the office of the President of the U.S. will be occupied by someone that my work will require me to confront, challenge and oppose. In November we get to help select our opponent. I choose the senile old man with the stutter and awkward gait.
