WIStarting January 1, 2026, all construction projects lasting over 3 months and employing 20+ workers must have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on site.
To help employers meet this requirement, the Residential Construction Council of Ontario (RESCON) and Smart Safety Solutions have released a guide to:
✅ Understand legal responsibilities
✅ Conduct hazard assessments
✅ Select & place AEDs
✅ Establish emergency procedures & training
WSIB Rebate Now Available! Employers can get up to $2,500 per AED for qualifying projects from July 2025 to June 2027.
Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of workplace fatalities, but AEDs can increase survival rates by 50%+ when used with CPR. Let’s make construction sites safer!
