BAThe field of play has side boundaries known as touchlines. When play reaches a touchline, the ball is in touch and becomes dead.
#Quickthrows and #lineouts are methods of restarting the game with a throw after the ball or ball-carrier has gone into touch.
It’s really important for referees and ARs as well as players and coaches to know when the ball is still in play.
Law 18.2.a-d
The ball is not in touch or touch-in-goal if:
The ball reaches the plane of touch but is caught, knocked or kicked by a player who is in the playing area.
A player jumps, from within or outside the playing area, and catches the ball, and then lands in the playing area, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.
A player jumps from the playing area and knocks (or catches and releases) the ball back into the playing area, before landing in touch or touch-in-goal, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.
A player, who is in touch, kicks or knocks the ball, but does not hold it, provided it has not reached the plane of touch.

Direct wingers are everywhere. But Youness doesn’t sprint blindly down touchlines — he calculates. His hips stay aligned to the defender, not the line. That subtle detail flips the 1v1. Now he’s not wide — he’s central in disguise, with both channels alive. He’s not telegraphing. He’s interrogating.
He Doesn’t Pass — Because He Doesn’t Need To 🔒
Most players hit a wall and retreat. Youness isolates, then holds the duel. Even when he stumbles, he stays. Not for pride — for purpose. He knows he’s still in the pocket. Still 1v1. That’s rare IQ — understanding that isolation is the advantage.
He Controls Time With Rhythm, Not Just Speed ⏳
It’s not just change of pace. It’s when and why. He freezes defenders by pausing when others accelerate. Then burns them after they lean. But what unlocks it is scanning — head up between touches, vision engaged mid-dribble. That’s why he creates final balls when others settle for crosses.

Youness releases the ball, then explodes. Not wide, not safe — vertical. No jogs, no sightseeing. Every action has a second layer. That post-pass movement is striker-level — invasive, threatening, always forward. Coaches beg for that. Most players don’t even see it.

If he sharpens his instinct around goal — anticipates second balls, smells blood inside the box — it’s over. He’s got everything else. One layer away from being undeniable.
