I know what you’re thinking, you see elite athletes that never did this stuff. Some of this comes naturally to very gifted people. They also often grew up playing sports every single day. So you are seeing the same end result of a genetically gifted athlete that was exposed repeatedly to opportunities that allowed them to practice their movement. The hubris you must have to believe that is you, or your child. If you are in the business of actually developing athletes then you understand that movement is a skill that must be practice in a progressive way proven to improve skill. Submax efforts, Submax speed, with repetition and predictable patterns frequently. Adding complexity, unpredictable stimuli, and intensity gradually over time.
