One of the easiest ways to start understanding your undertone is to look at the metals you wear near your face.
In general:
❄️ Cool undertones tend to suit cooler metals like silver, white gold, platinum and pewter.
🔥Warm undertones tend to suit warmer metals like yellow gold, champagne gold, bronze and copper.
When the metal is right, your skin often looks clearer, brighter and more balanced. When it’s off, shadows, redness or dullness can stand out more.
A few important things:
• liking gold doesn’t automatically mean you’re warm
• being fair doesn’t automatically mean you’re cool
• not all golds and silvers are the same
That’s why side-by-side comparisons like silver vs gold or white gold vs yellow gold can be so useful.
Jewellery isn’t the only way to find your undertone — but it’s a very good place to start.
