NEMillions of people took part in nationwide “No Kings” protests across the United States on Saturday, opposing the administration of Donald Trump. Organisers said over 3,000 events were held across all 50 states, with an estimated 8 million participants.
A major gathering took place at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, where Bruce Springsteen performed and leaders including Bernie Sanders and Tim Walz addressed the crowd. The protests were partly driven by public anger over recent immigration enforcement actions, including fatal incidents involving ICE agents in Minnesota earlier this year.
Large rallies were also reported in New York, Washington DC, and other major cities, with global demonstrations held in parts of Europe. Counter-protests occurred in some locations, including clashes reported in Dallas. Authorities said most events remained peaceful despite the scale of participation.
