INThere are different types of valvetrain systems used in engines:
Overhead Valve (OHV): Also called pushrod engines, OHV engines have the camshaft located in the engine block. The valves are controlled through pushrods and rocker arms.
Overhead Cam (OHC): In OHC engines, the camshaft is positioned in the cylinder head, directly over the valves. This design allows for more precise valve timing and higher engine speeds. There are two types of OHC engines:
Single Overhead Cam (SOHC): One camshaft operates both intake and exhaust valves.
Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC): Two separate camshafts control intake and exhaust valves, providing better performance.
