Everyone wants to perfect their strengths. But the great ones? They attack their weaknesses. That’s what separated Tom Brady. He didn’t just polish what he was good at — he obsessed over what he wasn’t. Footwork. Arm strength. Speed. He turned flaws into fuel. Because in the end, your weaknesses reveal your limits — and how far you’re willing to go past them. The work no one sees is what builds the player everyone remembers. - ▪️Follow to achieve greatness: @athletemindset0 @athletemindset0 - ▪️ Reply “MINDSET” now to claim your FREE guide to master your mental game - #tombrady #athlete #wellrounded #weaknesses #strengths #skills #growth motivationdaily #mindsetofgreatness #mindsetshift #justdoit #believe #believeinyou #inspiration #inspirationdaily #instareels

There are many reasons we tend to think more about our weaknesses than our strengths: 1) We live in a “fixing” society. From a very young age, many of us are conditioned to focus on our development areas over our achievements — by our parents, teachers, and society in general. 2) We experience negativity bias. Researchers argue that as a species we give more weight to negative data than to positive data. This tendency probably benefited us evolutionarily, but now it can cause us to discount positive information. 3) We devalue what comes most naturally to us. While we tend to have a general sense of what we’re good at (our general strengths) — we often overlook our true talents (our innate strengths) because they’re more instinctual. The good news is you can overcome these ways of thinking. Here’s one tip that can help you more easily recognize your innate strengths: The next time someone doesn’t perform according to your expectations, pause, and take a moment to reflect. Ask yourself: - What’s driving my expectations around this other person’s performance? - Do I feel they lack a certain skill or strength? - Do I feel this way because it’s a skill or strength that comes more easily to me? If somebody takes longer to complete a project than you think they should, for example, is that because they’re not good at managing their time — or is it because you’re innately strong at the work they’re doing? Reflecting in this way can help you lift up the shade, and see personal strengths that you may be overlooking. — Adapted from “Identify — and Develop — Your Natural Strengths,” by Sanyin Siang. #strengths #weaknesses #selfimprovement

Need help answering this tough interview question? Here’s how you can answer “what are your weaknesses?” Here are 3 sample answers: 1️⃣ Organization. “When I was first starting out in my career, I sometimes struggled with organizing my work flow. When tasks come onto my plate, I tend to like to see each one through from beginning to end. What I've found helpful is using project management software so that I can visually see my deadlines. This has helped me prioritize what I should work on and even helps me multitask better.” 2️⃣Asking for advice. "Turning to others, such as coworkers or managers, for help has not always come easily to me. I do really well with independent work, and I like to take a project and make it my own. In my last job, I was tasked with collaborating with a coworker. What I found was that they added invaluable insight and really made the project much better than if I had done it on my own. Since then, I've found myself reaching out for help or even just advice more often." 3️⃣Speaking up. "Speaking up during meetings or in front of a group of people isn't very natural for me. I am a thinker and a listener, and I express myself very well on paper. Sometimes I need to think through what I want to say before speaking up. I've been working on inserting myself more into work conversations and paying attention to what others have to say. I realize that I don't have to have a completely well-thought-out comment before I speak. I do, however, always make sure to send an email or talk one-on-one with someone when that's more comfortable for me and I feel I have something to share." In the end, talking about your greatest weakness is a golden opportunity for you to showcase your skills. Use it to your advantage to show off your strengths, not your weaknesses. Social media is a lie. No one posts their failures. No one posts their weaknesses. That’s where I’m choosing to be different. The struggles, the losses, the moments that broke me — those are the very things that allowed me to step into mentorship in my mid-30s. Was I “successful” at this point in my life? If you measure success financially — yes. But real success isn’t money. A happy family is success. A successful business starts at home. Losing my Dad in 2023 broke me. I wasn’t the man I wanted to be. Am I now? No. But I’m much closer — and still chasing that finished version of myself. Will I ever reach it? Probably not. And I’ve learned to be content with that. Being a hungry businessman is both a gift and a curse — if you don’t manage it, it will cost you everything that actually matters. I would give anything for five more minutes with my Dad. Because of that loss, business will never come before my family again. Ever. Just a 34-year-old man. Father. Husband. Builder of multiple businesses and passive income — freedom to work, travel, and now help other entrepreneurs save time, money, and mistakes through mentorship. This is the real story. #familyfirst #businessmindset #failures #weaknesses #growthmindsets

Let’s get right to the point: we all have weaknesses. Whether we are aware or unaware of these weaknesses, they exist, and there’s no point in trying to hide them. Those around you, whether you like it or not, see the weaknesses you carry. And you probably see theirs! This is totally normal and simply reinforces the idea that we are all human beings doing our best to evolve. So instead of pushing away our weaknesses, embrace them, and seek out opportunities to shift to the next best version of yourself. Ask those around you for feedback, let people hold you accountable, and show up all in. You’re never going to do everything 100% right, so don’t be too hard on yourself when your weaknesses surface. Instead, view those moments as an opportunity to become more self aware so that you can grow. ⠀ ⠀ #TuesdayTip #LizBentley #LizBentleyAssociates #LevelUp #ExecutiveCoach #Weaknesses #GrowthPoint #SelfAwareness #ShowUpAllIn

Your weakness is actually your strength. What’s your weakness-superpower? For example, I am dyslexic. When I was young I was told to read Animal Farm. I found it hard. Instead I interviewed my class mates after they read it. I got 31 view points not one. I wrote about those 31 viewpoints and got an A+ and got to know more than most about how people think not just learning from the book itself. As life has progressed I have learned to leverage my weakness. Focus on what you are good at and team up with best in class where you are not great (don’t bother trying to fix your weaknesses I think - another reason I like self employment no stupid reviews where someone tells you to fix your weakness - to justify not paying you more). Do this and life can scale easier and be more fun as you can focus on what you love. #georgeorwell #animalfarm #simonsays #embraceyourself #weaknesses are #superpowers #entrepreneurs 👊🏻✅❤️
