JAPAN will look like this in less than a month 🌸 Comment SAKURA and I’ll send you the link to my curated map of cherry blossom spots in Japan! Exploring Japan during cherry blossom season has been one of my favorite travel experiences to date. I'd been dreaming about experiencing sakura bloom in Japan for years. And even with all that anticipation it ended up exceeding my expectations. Completely! There's something about cherry blossom season in Japan that I can't fully explain. It's not just the beauty. It's the feeling. How the entire country softens. How people gather under blooming trees for hours, sharing this quiet appreciation for something that won't last. Some of my favorite memories from Japan. Sitting in parks with locals. Walking temple paths at sunrise with nobody else there. Stumbling into tiny shrines completely covered in blossoms. The peace. The reverence. The understanding that this moment is fleeting - and that's what makes it precious. Here's what most people don't know: • Cherry blossoms don't bloom everywhere at once. Tokyo blooms first (late March). Kyoto blooms 3-4 days later. Mount Fuji blooms a week after Tokyo. • When you understand this pattern, you can chase peak bloom across multiple cities in one trip. There’s a 2 week itinerary in my blog if you’re planning a trip there soon! You will find 103 cherry blossom spots in my curated map. The iconic spots everyone photographs. The hidden gardens where you'll be alone. It will lead you through the best of Tokyo, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Osaka, Nara and Fujikawagchiko! Comment SAKURA below and I'll send you the curated map 🌸 Have you experienced cherry blossom season in Japan? Or is it on your bucket list? • • Cherry blossom in Japan | Sakura in Japan | Spring in Japan | Cherry blossom in Kyoto | Cherry blossom in Tokyo | Japan travel guide | Curated map Japan #japancherryblossom #japan #sakuraseason #japantravel #travelcurator

Japan’s early blooming sakura 🌸⬇️ If you’re visiting Japan in January & February, don’t fall into the trap of thinking you’re too early for cherry blossoms! You can still see them, you just need to know where & when to go 😉 January & February are still such underrated months when it comes to international tourists visiting Japan & yet for me it’s one of the best times of the year for sakura! Mid-late Feb especially is my favourite time to see Japan’s cherry blossoms as the early blooming varieties are pinker & more vivid than the somei yoshino variety that late March & early April season is known for - their colour just pops!! Being off-peak means cheaper hotels & flights too! ✈️ & you don’t need to worry about the weather either as these months are clearer & sunnier so you can also catch Mt. Fuji more easily too 🗻 Now onto the places featured in this clip! 🌸 Atami - Itokawa Promenade Sakura Festival is held now until Feb 8th 🌸 Toi Sakura Festival is held from January 17th - February 11th 🌸 Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival held Feb 7th - March 8th 🌸 Matsuda Cherry Blossom Festival held Feb 14th - March 8th 🌸 Sakura Jingu shrine, Tokyo (usually late Feb) 🌸 Ebara shrine, Tokyo (mid-late Feb) 🌸 Kuramae shrine, Tokyo (usually late Feb - early March) 🌸 Aogehari river, Washinomiya, Saitama - head to Washinomiya shrine & then wander along the river (late Feb) Don’t forget to save to help plan your trip! 🔖 🌸 Make sure to follow @bassetts.bouken for more cherry blossom spots & Japan travel tips! 🇯🇵 #cherryblossomseason #sakuraseason #japan #cherryblossomfestival #sakuramatsuri

You’re probably planning your Japan trip wrong. Because sakura isn’t about where you go… it’s about when you reach there. For a few days each year, Japan turns soft pink — and if you miss that window, you miss everything 🌸 Here’s what 2026 full bloom looks like: • Fukuoka → March 29 • Osaka → March 31 • Tokyo → March 26 – 31 • Kyoto → April 1 • Sapporo → April 28 – 29 This is peak bloom — when the trees are at their fullest, almost unreal. And then? A gust of wind, a little rain… and it’s gone. That’s why people plan entire trips around just these few days. If Japan is on your list, don’t just pick cities — pick your timing. I’ve added the official forecast links in the pinned comment 👇 (please check those before booking, not this reel 😄) Save this — you’ll need it when you start planning. #sakurainjapan #cherryblossomseason #japantravels

Planning a cherry blossom trip to Japan but not sure what to actually do? 🥲 I felt the same when I went—the views are free, but everything else gets crowded FAST. What I didn’t expect was how stressful it is to figure things out on the spot during peak season. I ended up booking my activities in advance, and it honestly made the biggest difference. No last-minute stress, no long lines, and I could actually enjoy the experience instead of rushing around. I used Klook to plan everything, and having it all in one place just made the trip so much smoother. If you’re visiting during sakura season, I really recommend pre-booking early—especially now that you can get up to 50% off Japan activities on Klook 🌸 (check the link in my “Sakura” highlights here @withathenaofficial) #KlookChiefSpringOfficer #JapanTravel #CherryBlossomJapan #SakuraSeason #Klook

Every year thousands of tourists visit Japan just to see Sakura. But many people don’t realize this. Cherry blossom timing changes every year, and the peak bloom only lasts about 5–7 days. For Tokyo in 2026: 🌸 First bloom: around March 20–21 🌸 Full bloom: around March 27–28 That means the best time to see Sakura in Tokyo is usually late March to early April. Another thing many tourists don’t know: You don’t need tickets to see Sakura. Most famous spots are public parks and completely free. Some of the most popular places in Tokyo are: 🌸 Meguro River 🌸 Ueno Park 🌸 Shinjuku Gyoen 🌸 Chidorigafuchi moat But here’s a mistake many visitors make: They only visit the Instagram-famous locations, which become extremely crowded. Some of the best sakura experiences in Japan are actually quiet neighborhood streets and local parks. Japan during cherry blossom season is magical — but timing and location matter a lot. 👇 Are you planning your Japan trip for Sakura? Or have you already experienced cherry blossom season? Follow @iam_harsh for Japan travel tips, family itineraries, and mistakes tourists learn too late 🇯🇵 #japantravel #japantravelguide #tokyosakura
