Wicklow. 🫏⛰️ Just about an hour outside of Dublin in the Wicklow Countryside, you can go on a donkey walk and it was the absolute best experience EVER! You’ll get to know one of their fluffy, friendly donkeys on an enjoyable 1 hour + 15 minute experience. It’s well suitable for all ages and it was so fun grooming the donkeys at the start (to get to know them!). There’s also lots of time for cuddles and selfies along the way, too. This activity is very kid friendly, but don’t think for one second that the adults didn’t enjoy it just as much – if not more! 😅 Not only can you do donkey walks here, but Clissmann Farm also offers glamping and overnights stays in adorably transformed horse caravans. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that is well worth doing! Dublin, Ireland is the perfect destination to visit with kids. It's clean, easy to get around & there are so ma — SAVE for future trip inspiration ☘️ . Dublin, Ireland is the perfect destination to visit with kids. It’s clean, easy to get around & there are so many family friendly parks & attractions. . We visited as many Dublin family attractions as we could during our 7 day trip and I’ve picked out our favourites to share with YOU 🙌. Here are the places we’d visit if we did it all over again: . Day 1: Arrive at Dublin airport and take a bus or taxi into the city centre. Check into your accommodations (we stayed at Trinity College!) then head out to explore the pubs in Temple Bar (kids are welcome during the day and dinner hour) or do some shopping on Grafton Street. . Day 2: Take the train (DART) to Malahide Castle. Take the castle tour, follow the fairy trail and play at the stunning Malahide playground. . Day 3: Spend the day back in the City Centre. Check out the gardens, playground and ponds at St. Stephen’s Green, then grab some snacks at Spar (similar to 7 eleven) and wander over to have a picnic at the Giants Garden & Merrion park playground. . Day 4: Hop back on the DART and head to Howth. Take a taxi or bus up to the Howth Cliff walk summit then hike down along the cliffs to the lighthouse. After, head into town to play at the fantastic Howth playground and grab some fish and chips at the harbour! . Day 5: Head to the seaside again, but this time closer to city centre. Sandymount beach is a great spot to search for shells and little crabs, especially when the tide is low. There’s also a beautiful seaside playground at Sean Moore Park! . Day 6: Head south to the Wicklow mountains. Check out the Powerscourt water fall or take a hike in Wicklow Mountains National Park. Then head to the highest pub in Ireland, Johnnie Foxes, for food, music and maybe even some dancing. . Day 7: Check out more of Dublin’s classic attractions. We chose to visit the Guinness Storehouse and St Patricks’s Cathedral.
