RIOk. Remodel that needs some strategy help. @richiebuildsright gave me a tour. Not his build but he’s a great Building Science mind and have great solutions for this Builder/Owner. Love that he’s used @thebuildshow to educate himself and his clients. Go follow him and @beaconbuilt.us We love Zip System but you need to nail the details to get full use of the system and it’s inherent ability to be BOTH water and air tight. Monopoly Framing would definitely be better but it’s not always achievable.

TEThis is our preferred way to detail larger penetrations. We first cut a small circle in a piece of scrap roofing membrane and slide it over the opening. To secure it to our @zipsystems sheathing, we use zip tape on all four sides followed by zip liquid flashing around the penetration. #passivehouse #healthyhome #chattanoogabuilder #nashvillebuilder
