ARNusaé, as a graphic design studio, sees material as one of the many ways design communicates. Within its practice, material is understood not only through its functional or constructive role, but also as a contextual medium that translates ideas into tangible spatial experiences. Through observation, exploration, and experimentation with its physical qualities, material becomes part of how visual expression, narrative, and spatial character are shaped.
Reflecting Nusaé’s ongoing process and learning, Material Mendesain / Mendesain Material is framed through two central questions: what if material determines the direction of design, and what if design determines the physical character of material? The exhibition invites visitors to see, learn, and engage with material through its textures, patterns, physical forms, and spatial presence.
